A Few More Pics from Columbus, Georgia

Here are a few more pics I recently took in Columbus, Georgia.  These are all within easy walking distance of the TSYS Campus by the river.

I thought this was interesting because it seems to show three different eras of building construction:

Not all pics I take of Columbus are scenic!

Like everywhere else in Georgia, Columbus is DARN HOT in the summer, but I would think Columbus could be a good place for a scenic walk in the spring or autumn.

Jacksonville Beach, (and Koi Pond), August 2016

Jax Beach, August 2016.

When my parents first moved to Jacksonville, (late 1980's, I believe), Jacksonville Beach was sorta overrun with beach bums and derelicts.

What a difference thirty years have made!

These next three pics were an attempt to capture the image of a bird perched on a post.  None of them turned out very well.

In Jacksonville proper is a scenic outdoor mall called St Johns Town Center, which contains a really cool koi pond.

So there you have it ...... a lovely beach, and a few miles away, a lovely freshwater koi pond!

Columbus Botanical Garden

Recently I made a visit to the Columbus Botanical Garden.  While a scenic little place, to call this a "botanical garden" is a bit of a stretch, particularly when compared to places such as the Atlanta Botanical Garden.  But it does seem like a nice spot to take a few wedding reception pics, perhaps.

If you're in the north side of Columbus Georgia someday, it may be worth a few minutes of your time to go check the place out.  But I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to get there!
