More Columbus Georgia, Jan/2017

The miracle of modern technology is that it gives all of us capabilities our grandparents could only dream of.  This is also one of the drawbacks of modern technology, as now any fool, (e.g., Old Grump), with a cellphone can wander around snapping digital photos all day.

The old guy took a whole new batch of photos in Columbus, Georgia this month.  Here are some of the more interesting ones.  ("Interesting" being a relative term in this context!)

The "Shadow" knows what lurks in the hearts of men!

When Grump was a kid, he was fascinated by birch trees with their white, peeling bark.  I thought that birch trees primarily lived in Maine and other "arctic-climes" places, but here they are, growing happily in Georgia.

There's a cool Columbus store on 6th Avenue just north of 13th Street that sells the most wonderful clay pots:

South of 13th Street on 6th Avenue is the old train station.

I hope you never wind up here, in the Columbus jail!

If you do run afoul of the law, rest assured that there are plenty of bail bond services in the vicinity, such as this one:

That's all for now, folks!
